Office Policies

A few of our important policies are listed below.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to truly care about our patients. We will work enthusiastically as a team to provide the highest quality dental care.

Our practice is dedicated to the prevention of dental disease because we understand that prevention is the key to the well being of our patients.

It is our responsibility to our patients and our community as a whole to deliver our message of dental health.

Vision Statement

AIPD will become a world-class oral health care provider, committed to excellence through passionate, accurate and consistent solution focused health care.

We will achieve our vision by building and sustaining high quality relationships with those we serve; our team, our patients, their families and our community.

We will provide patient experiences that are fun and educational and implement only the finest scientifically proven technologies available.

We try our best to accommodate our patients as much as possible when scheduling appointments. We have found that children with extensive dental work or preschool children are better to be seen early in the morning when they are fresher and can have a more positive experience. Some appointments may require the child to miss some school; however, these are considered excused absences. With continued care, appointments during school can be kept to a minimum.

We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, but we ask for your help as a courtesy to all of our patients.

Payment Options

Your computer estimated patient portion will be due at the time of service for preventive care. If it has been determined that the patient will require treatment beyond the preventive appointment, you will be provided with an estimated breakdown of all applicable fees which will be due in office two weeks prior to the next appointment. Our office accepts cash, check and all major credit cards.

Dental Insurance

We accept most dental plans and will file to most plans on your behalf. We are in network with the following plans:

  • Aetna
  • AlwaysCare
  • Humana
  • DHA/Sunlife
  • United Concordia (except Tricare)
  • MCNA and Dentaquest (Medicaid)

While we are considered to be OUT OF NETWORK with other dental plans, most pay very close to our fees with little or no out of pocket for preventative services. If work is required we do submit a predetermination to most plans prior to appointment in order to give the most accurate estimate possible.

Insurance Guidelines

Our office is committed to delivering the best in world-class healthcare and in helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because all insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith and cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. We encourage our responsible parties to be knowledgeable of the patient benefits so that together we can better understand your policy. With some carriers our office may be in network, with others out of network, and coverage may change at any time without notification. We request that you notify our office of any address, phone or insurance changes as soon as they occur.

Our six month recall appointments include the following services:

  • Dental Exam
  • Prophylaxis (cleaning)
  • Fluoride treatment (bubbles)
  • X-rays (when the doctors deem necessary)

Your dental plan may not cover preventative procedures that can save you money later, such as sealants. This in no way means these treatments are unnecessary. Our dentists can help you decide what treatments are best for your child.

As a courtesy to our patients, we will bill most insurance companies for services and allow 60 days for them to render payment. After this time, interest will be assessed on the account, and you will be responsible for the balance. Your dental plan is designed to share in your dental care costs and may only cover a portion of your bill. It is meant to help you ensure your investment in your child's dental health. We realize that understanding what your dental plan will cover can be difficult and we would be more than happy to answer any questions we can. Please keep in mind your coverage and benefit details are ultimately between you and your insurance company. If at any time you have questions, please feel free to call our insurance coordinator.
